A house that has grown with its surroundings
Grown naturally.
A house with character
Since its beginnings in the 1980s, the hotel has gone through various culinary phases and introduced many new ideas, through which it has gradually evolved into the place you can experience today.
Since 2013, the hotel has deliberately positioned itself as a nature hotel and a partner establishment of the nature park, and this commitment is reflected in day-to-day operations – in the products we use, our approach to resources and our collaboration with the local region.
Since 2025, the Anger Alm has been run by the second generation, with time-honoured traditions being preserved whilst making room for new ideas. At its heart, it remains a genuine retreat in the heart of nature.

Natural, rather than staged.
The mountains don’t need a grand stage. This house creates space for genuine experiences of nature.
Genuine rather than contrived.
Helpful advice and genuine hospitality are simply part of the experience, whilst at the same time there’s plenty of freedom to set your own pace.
Local rather than random.
Products and partners from the region help to promote short supply chains and local cycles.
Ruhig statt laut.
As an ‘Adults Only’ establishment, the Anger Alm welcomes adults and young people aged 14 and over, ensuring that the atmosphere remains pleasantly peaceful whilst nature, the setting and personal time in the mountains remain the focus.
Straightforward rather than overcomplicated.
Everything that makes a stay enjoyable is here: genuine hospitality, high quality and plenty of space to spend time at your own pace.
Back with experience
Tanja studied tourism and the leisure industry and subsequently gained several years’ experience in international sports management and brand management, led major tourism projects and, most recently, held a senior position at Tirol Werbung.
Her return to the Pitztal was a conscious decision, as Tanja now combines her professional expertise with a personal connection to the hotel, whilst giving new ideas room to flourish without losing sight of tried-and-tested traditions.
Severin supports this approach and, due to his professional commitments, deliberately remains in the background. Senior partner Rainer continues to play an active role as host and chef.
